@AccordionBruce

About time to start enforcing these laws.

#RuleOfLaw

We finally did it, Picard 3.0 is now officially available. This was a huge effort, and I'm very happy to share this new version with you all. Please see the blog post for details:

@saschacowley Thanks

@kepano whoa that is sharp!

@mastodonmigration
They didn’t get fined $200,000 for each breach of the DMCA either

We report: there are altostratus clouds keeping dawn at bay, and it feels darker down here for the specks of light we can see. We are expecting rain in the afternoon, but we think it might come early when we see the clouds still advancing, and we hear the wind rising.

Holy shit.

Ok, watched several times, feel I’ve had my morning exercise now… 🤗

I want to share with you the gist of a mind-blowing conversation I had with my doctor today at my annual physical.

She asked about my mood, which led to a conversation about how AI is ruining everything, which prompted her to mention that she doesn’t use the AI transcription app that her hospital network is encouraging people to use, because she finds it’s too time-consuming for her to read and correct the AI transcriptions instead of just writing down her own notes.

@jpm the only reason i love Instagram is for my perfectly curated ads which is Chinese factories trying to sell me these 3D printers $3k with free shipping and spools of filament.

(alongside the factories selling me cigarette manufacturing equipment or 2nd hand bulk dry goods ships)

@soloojos gracias.

Do I know any Germans who care about labor law?

What's the state of labor law in Germany? If I work for a company doing tech infra work, can my company put in my contract that I can't work for another tech infra company after working for them for a year? Wouldn't that make it so I would be forcefully unemployed for a year? If that's the case, how is that even legal?

In any other profession, that sounds illegal

Also interested in the state of "noncompete" clauses there? Can they stop me from taking other jobs? Is that legal?
